  • THE SETUP: Each round starts with a word(s) and phrase: for example, CAMPING TRIP and THINGS YOU WOULD TAKE WITH YOU OR SEE ON A CAMPING TRIP. Players write the words CAMPING TRIP vertically on their scoresheet
  • THE PLAY: Everyone has 2 minutes to think of THINGS YOU WOULD TAKE OR SEE ON A CAMPING TRIP that correspond with the letters in CAMPING TRIP. For example, Pine Cones for P, Ice for I, River for R and so on.
  • THE SCORING: Players compare their lists and get 1 point for each unique answer. In some cases you can score bonus points for creative answers that might be 2 words starting with the same letter like “Mickey Mouse.”
  • REPEAT PLAY VALUE: With 250 Word challenges on 125 cards, you can literally play Scattergories Categories about 100 times before running into cards you’ve already played. That’s pretty awesome!a

Your mission – should you choose to accept it – is think of something that starts with the letters in the word CAMPING TRIP – and fits in the category printed on the side of the card. In this example the category is “Things you would take with you or see on a camping trip.”

 

Roadtrip!

Who’s ready for a ROADTRIP! Check out the category on the side of the card – it says “Names of Cities.” Quick – you have 2 minutes to think of cities that start with the letters in ROADTRIP. How about…Rome, Oslo, Atlanta, Detroit, etc…

 

 

Scattergories Categories Components

The category cards fit snugly into the plastic base so all players can see the challenge on the card. The game includes a 2 minutes sand timer and 4 pads of player score sheets. Have fun!!
